In 2018, Andrea and her family lost three people to suicide, with one being her cousin Lyndsie who she was close in age, grit and spirit. Each of these amazing people were young adult Christians (two were pastor’s daughters) all of which were healthcare workers — a surgeon, a counselor and an ER registered nurse. Too many questions and not enough answers but there was one thing 100% certain, the shame surrounding people of faith with mental health struggles needed to be broken in the Christian community.
